چکیده مقاله:
Structural damage detection using incomplete measured response data has emerged as a new research area in civil, mechanical, biomechanical, and aerospace engineering communities in recent years. The purpose of this paper is to present a sensitivity-based finite element model (FEM) updating method in the frequency domain. The transfer function (TF) of a damaged structure is approximated using the measured natural frequencies of the damaged structure and the analytical mode shapes of the intact structure. A general damage case with arbitrary changes in stiffness of all elements has been applied to a prestressed concrete containment vessel (PCCV). Furthermore, the finite element model (FEM) of the NUPEC/NRC 1/4-scale model of a PCCV containment of the Ohi-3 power plant is calibrated using measured dis-placement data. The calibrated model was utilized for the numerical investigation of the pro-posed method. In the numerical cases, a 15% random error is applied to data of damaged structure.
